Engineering Services Holds Seminar in Shymkent on Kazakhstan’s New Construction Code

Shymkent, Kazakhstan — Engineering Services held a practical seminar at the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs for executives of construction companies in Shymkent, focusing on Kazakhstan’s new Construction Code.

The seminar focused on how the new regulatory requirements will affect the construction industry and the key risks companies need to consider in their operations.

Engineering Services experts presented the main risks associated with technical supervision, with particular attention to heating, ventilation and water supply systems (HVAC & plumbing), as well as electrical and low-current systems. The discussion also covered construction quality control, professional responsibility, and approaches to reducing technical and operational risks during project implementation.

The seminar was attended by distinguished guests representing the construction industry, government, and quasi-government organizations, including:

• Chairman of the Construction Industry Council of Shymkent;
• Deputy Head of the Shymkent Department of Architecture and Urban Planning;
• Chief Manager for Program Promotion at Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund JSC;
• representatives of Kazakhstan Housing Company JSC, joining remotely from Astana — Deputy Director of the Department of Technical Expertise and Warranty Cases, Deputy Director and Chief Specialist of the Department for Legal Entities;
• Director of the Investment Attraction Center of Ontustik Special Economic Zone JSC in Shymkent.

The event provided a platform for open professional dialogue between construction businesses, industry experts, and representatives of public and quasi-public institutions. Participants discussed not only the new regulatory requirements but also practical challenges encountered during the implementation of construction projects.
